It is May, it is getting hot here in Tennessee. Velvet is coming along well. She is now under saddle, I have gone back to the beginning with her, retraining her to go from my leg to the bit. She is uncomplicated and a bit lazy, but with a decent attitude of 'can do'.

Velvet and Bella are fast friends right from the start. Even though they are both mares, with their own mare personalities, they are very friendly to each other and get along very well. They even eat from the same feed bucket if I would let them.January 16, 2012
Velvet is doing great. I have worked her in the round pen and discovered that she does know some voice commands. She also stands very well to be groomed, and is learning that I am the source of all that is good, tasty food, scratches, and gentle handling. I believe Velvet has some trust issues, but she and I will grow together as she learns that this is her final and permanant home.

Velvet is HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as of midnight Friday the 13th! Whoever said Friday 13th is bad?!?!?

Best New Years ever, just got word last night that Velvet is heading home on Thursday with A@J Transport! Thank you to Mike, Rudi and Dianne, you all have big parts in this and I am grateful! Stay tuned for GOBS of pictures!!!!!
